Part of the ongoing rebranding strategy under the “Sanita works.” motto

Scarborough, Maine, August 2019. Sanita USA is proud to announce the launch of its new website, Created as a full-service resource for retailers, aims to serve as the definitive guide for all-things brand related.

The website was designed by the Portland, Maine-based agency Helm Digital, with the goal of reflecting the core values of the Sanita brand. All branding is now united under the idea of “Sanita works.”, both a slogan and guiding principle of this heritage workwear brand. Complimenting the updated design work is authentic lifestyle photography, captured by Vermont-based photographer Jessica Sipe, as well as a peek behind-the-scenes in the Sanita factory.

Featured prominently on the front page of the new website is a video documenting the clog-making process at the Sanita factory in Europe. Authenticity and craftsmanship are at the forefront of all of Sanita’s messaging, and this video, both entertaining and educational, connects the consumer with the tradesmen and women who make their shoes.

Sanita USA is excited for this expanded resource, particularly the updated Store Locator section, increasing traffic to authorized Sanita retailers. A dedicated Sanita USA customer service team is available to answer questions website visitors may have about fit and materials, and customers are always encouraged to seek out a local authorized retailer for a proper fitting and guidance from the experts.  “We highly value the independent shoe retailers who carry Sanita in their stores, and realize they are vital in making our brand a success,” says Matthew Tracy, president of Sanita USA, “We want to do whatever we can to support them in their endeavors”.  Tracy also sees the website as an additional tool to help customers make selections in store for special fit requirements or styles.

Sanita USA is distributed by M. Leonard International, a Maine-based distributor of specialty European Footwear. Founded in 2008 by Matthew Tracy, M. Leonard International is the exclusive distributor of the Austrian boiled wool slipper brand, Giesswein USA. In late 2018, the company was awarded the exclusive US distributorship of the 112-year old Danish clog brand, Sanita. M. Leonard International is headquartered in Maine, where it operates a warehouse in a historic, 150-year old former shoe factory.
