McAfee Buys into Web Site Certification with ScanAlert Acquisition

With its eye on securing e-commerce, McAfee is set to integrate ScanAlert, of Napa, Calif., into its security strategy. ScanAlert audits and certifies the security of more than 75,000 Web sites, and company officials estimate their technology protects more than 15 million e-commerce transactions a month. E-commerce sites certified as Hacker Safe have undergone a security audit by ScanAlert, which scans the site for vulnerabilities and identifies and verifies security fixes. (more...)

Crocs to Buy Back 1 Million Shares (AP)

This is pretty big, but when I think that I only have 8GB of hard disk space left on my Lenovo notebook, it's not that much. Two of my home desk top computers, which I recently ordered from Dell have 200GB hard disks. I was happy to read in Computer World that Western Digital is rolling out 320 GB Hard Disks. (more...)
