PRO INTRODUCES
INNOVATIVE NEW TIMBERLAND PRO® HELIX COLLECTIONLightweight
Work Boots with Anti-Fatigue Technology Provide Ultimate Comfort On The Job
Stratham, N.H.,
June 1, 2011 – Building on the success of the ever-popular Timberland PRO® Endurance and TiTAN®collections, Timberland PRO is pleased to
announce a new addition to its innovative workboot offerings. The new
Timberland PRO®Helix collection consists of rugged 6” boots
that provide workers with the best of both worlds – lightweight materials
combined with Timberland PRO‘s exclusive Anti-Fatigue Technology to absorb
shock and help increase energy, supporting those who work long hours on their
feet.
"We have spent extensive time field researching our end
users and have infused those learnings into the new Helix collection,” said Jim
O’Connor, Senior Director of Product and Marketing for Timberland PRO. "By
combining the lightweight protection found in our TiTAN®boots with the
Anti-Fatigue Technology in our Timberland PRO® Endurance work boots, new Helix styles
bring a hybrid approach which should allow our consumers to stay on their feet
longer without feeling exhausted.” O’Connor added, "These boots will help
negate the need for companies to provide expensive anti-fatigue mats that can
pose as dangerous tripping hazards.”
New Timberland PRO® Helix
footwear includes the following features to help workers focus on their job and
not their feet:
- Timberland PRO exclusive
Anti-Fatigue Technology features molded, inverted cones that support, collapse
and return in key pressure zones, providing higher energy return and resulting
in all day standing comfort and support
- Flexible, soft durable leathers
- Mesh lining with Agion®microbial treatment for
odor control
- Active heel lock secures the heel for optimal
fit
- TiTAN®alloy or composite safety toe provides
lightweight protection and roomy fit
- Some styles feature a waterproof membrane to
keep feet dry
- Slip-resistant outsole boasts aggressive lugs
that maximize contact for enhanced traction
The Timberland PRO® Helix series
will be supported this fall by the "Stay On Your Feet” campaign, (www.stayonyourfeet.com), now in its
third year. The campaign will include a TV commercial slated to run October
through December during the NHL regular season and on 35 local cable markets
including the Discovery Channel, TLC, and ESPN. Timberland PRO will also
support these efforts through digital advertising on ESPN, Popular Mechanics,
and Contractortalk.com, billboard advertising, and Timberland PRO’s stayonyourfeet.com website, which
educates visitors on the Timberland PRO® Helix
series, allowing them to search for sector-specific jobs in their areas and
participate in a contest to enter to win boots.
All Timberland PRO® Helix styles
are available in sizes 7-12, 13, 14, 15 M/W and are equipped with the
Timberland PRO®PowerFit™comfort system for ergonomic fit and maximum
support. Timberland PRO offers comfort and customer satisfaction with a 30-Day
Comfort Guarantee. The Timberland PRO®Helix series is available now at www.timberlandpro.com and in
Timberland PRO retail locations nationwide with an MSRP of $130 - $165. New
styles for fall 2011 include the
Timberland PRO®Helix 6” Soft Toe (87529) and 6” Composite Toe
(87517), which will both be available August 12, 2011.
