$125,000 in Support for Earthquake and Tsunami Victims in Japan

In response to the recent disaster in Japan, Dansko has committed a total
of $125,000 in shoes and financial aid to the island nation.
"For us, giving back to the local and global community is a guiding
principle and our relief effort for Japan is part of our ongoing
partnership with Soles4Souls,” says Dansko Co-Founder and CEO Mandy Cabot.
"We work with Soles4Souls because they are very effective in
their efforts to reach people in need, and in this case by providing for the
survivors and their families in Japan.”
Soles4Souls is a Nashville-based nonprofit group that distributes donated
shoes to people in need across America
and around the globe. Already, as many as 100,000 shoes have been collected in
a quick response to the disaster in Japan.
In addition to Dansko’s donation to Soles4Souls, Dansko employees have made
monetary donations to assist the victims in Japan, with Dansko matching each
