Tucson, AZ (February 22, 2013) – The National Shoe Retailers Association has partnered with FN PLATFORM, the largest shoe show in the United States, to provide educational programming for independent footwear retailers. The first event will take place on Sunday, August 18, in Las Vegas, immediately preceding the FN PLATFORM at MAGIC Market Week – August 19-21, 2013. The new education offerings will be half-day programs, allowing retailers to travel in the morning, network and sharpen their business skills during the afternoon, and be ready for FN PLATFORM the next day.

Typically, NSRA education programs cover business topics and issues that keep footwear retailers on the cutting edge of business. Recent conferences have addressed providing a compelling in-store experience, educating shoppers, increasing inventory turn, ways to combat show-rooming, employee training, strategic business planning, and positioning the business as a multichannel operation.
